About Me

I am an Iranian psychologist living in Vienna, Austria with over 20 years of work experience in psychotherapy and counselling. I speak Farsi (Persian), Turkish, English and German. My academic career started with a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Tehran and went on to receive my master’s degree in counselling psychology. The subject of my thesis was “The Effects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy on Psychological Problems of Infertile Women Undergoing IVF-ET Treatment”. My academic career ended with a doctorate’s degree in the Science of Psychotherapy from Sigmund Freud University in Vienna and my thesis was centered around the “Psychological Problems of Iranian Immigrants and Refugees Living in Vienna”.

During my academic years, I worked as an executive director at the “Journal of Psychological Research” in Iran. I worked there for 10 years alongside the world-renowned Prof. Dr. Reza Zamani, who won the “Outstanding International Psychologist Award” in 2019. During these years, I also spent some time teaching at university and working on research projects. In addition, I was working as a psychotherapist and counsellor in the department of gynecology in the Aban Hospital for six years. I moved to Vienna after my certifications were verified from the Austrian government in 2001. I received my documents from the GKPP in clinical and health psychology and with the permission from the health ministry in Austria, I was officially allowed to start my work in Vienna.
